Suan Chang, speed skater and grade 3 student, broke provincial records and won overall gold.  At a regional meet in Newmarket, Suan Chang competed in 4 races, the 111m, 222m, 333m and the 500m. He set four new peewee provincial standards in each of his races cutting race times by seconds.  Suan was congratulated by the school and his classmates at morning assembly.  When asked how he felt about breaking 4 provincial records Suan responded, "I feel happy and proud."  His classmates are proud of Suan too and commented, "wow, I wish I was Suan, he is famous now!"  Congratulations Suan.  We will watch for you at the Olympics!
