International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme

The IB PYP programme is an internationally recognized curriculum designed for students from pre-school to grade 6.  The IB is one of the world’s most rigorous and highly esteemed education programmes.

The teaching and learning through the Primary Years Programme empowers and encourages students to become lifelong learners, to be responsible for themselves, their learning, other people and the environment, and to initiate actions based on their learning.

The IB combines the best research and practice from a range of international systems to create a relevant, engaging and global educational framework for all children. In an increasingly globalized world, the IB challenges students to think critically, research deeply and develop internationally minded perspectives on a broad range of issues.

Teachers are specially trained as IB teachers. A culture of inquiry is established in the classroom.  Teachers recognize the learners’ pre-conceptions and let them discover the true facts. Students are guided how to think and interact about the world they live in; how the facts apply to their world. Inquiry learning develops superior higher order thinking skills.
